StayRGV: New Resident Checklist
Welcome to the community. To ensure a smooth transition and maintain the quality of our homes, please use this guide for your move-in.
1. Required Documentation
- Photo ID: State ID, Driver's License, or Passport
- Proof of Income/ Funding: Employment verification or agency referral letter.
- Medical Info: List of current medications and contact info for your primary physician.
- Emergency Contacts: Name and phone number at least two contacts.
2. Personal Items & Clothing
- Clothing: Approximately 7-10 days worth of weather-appropriate clothing.
- Footwear: Comfortable shoes for daily use and shower shoes/flip-flops.
- Laundry Bag: To keep your personal belongings organized.
- Personal Electronics: Cell phone and charger (use is permitted during non-curfew hours).
3. Toiletries (Alcohol-Free Only)
- Hygiene Products: Shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothbrush. and toothpaste.
- Shaving Supplies: Electric or manual razors.
- Note: All mouthwash products hair products must be 100% alcohol-free.
4. What NOT to Bring (Prohibited Items)
- Controlled Substances: Any drugs or alcohol (including "non-alcoholic" beer).
- Weapons: Knives, firearms, or any item intended for use as a weapon.
- Products with Alcohol: Certain perfumes, colognes, or mouthwashes.
- External Furniture: We provide all furniture and bedding to maintain cleanliness and dignity standards.
House Rules & Expectations
These rules ensure safety and a supportive environment.
1. Sobriety & Testing
- StayRGV is a 100% drug and alcohol-free environment.
- Residents agree to random drug and alcohol screenings. Any "positive" results or refusal to test may result in immediate discharge.
2. Community & Respect
- Residents must participate in weekly house meetings.
- Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 6:00 am.
- Respect for fellow residents and staff is mandatory. Bullying or violence will not be tolerated.
3. Cleanliness & Dignity
- Daily chores are assigned to maintain the "remodeled excellence" of the home.
- Personal spaces/bedrooms must be kept tidy.
- No smoking or vaping inside the residence (designated outdoor areas only).
4. Employment & Productivity
- Residents are expected to be "productive" during the day (working, job hunting, attending school, or volunteering) unless otherwise cleared by management.
5. Visitation
- No overnight guests are permitted. All visitors must be cleared by management and remain in common areas.
